Warwick Moto is a student‑led electric motorcycle racing team based at the University of Warwick, operating in collaboration with WMG. Founded in 2019, we bring together students from across disciplines to design, build, and test high‑performance electric race bikes while gaining first‑hand experience of professional motorsport engineering. Our work spans the full development cycle, from concept and simulation through to manufacturing, validation, and racing.

In 2025, we embarked on a new challenge: the FIM-approved MotoStudent competition, culminating in the final event at MotorLand Aragón. We placed 23rd of 42 teams in the Electric category, marking a successful debut and a strong foundation to build on for the next edition of MotoStudent. Since returning from Aragón we have been hard at work developing our next challenger, focusing on key improvements identified from our performance in 2025.

Our Story

Our Mission

Origin

Our first prototype, Frontier, developed in partnership with Norton, was the world's first motorcycle to feature an immersion cooled battery, demonstrating Warwick Moto's focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology.

Evolution

From there, we launched a second motorcycle in partnership with Norton, Veloris, designed to showcase the capability of UK high-value manufacturing. It featured an innovative lightweight battery case, machined from a single billet of aluminium.

Rebirth

Our most recent motorcycle, Panther, marked Warwick Moto's first fully self-designed motorcycle. Built for the MotoStudent competition, it achieved impressive results as the UK's only entry: 3rd best rookie team, 7th in the playoff race, and 9th best design.
